Meet Bill

I began home brewing in 2005 and discovered that my burgeoning interest in craft brewing was not only a fascination for the origins of beer styles and ingredients, but also the global influences on regional and historical characteristics. Inspiration combined with the chemistry, biology and the art of brewing, I began creating beers that transcend the original styles with modern day creativity. I have continued with this philosophy, even when making styles of beer that I didn’t care for. Embarking on this venture is a broadening of who I am. Make a product that focuses on quality, engage in and be a positive influence in the neighborhood, and bring fun jobs to the local community. To me, this is family.

Meet Raquel

Raquel moved from Iowa to Castle Rock in 1999. Her daughters graduated from high school in CR ( one at DC and one at Castle View). She called Castle Rock home for 12 years. When she and Bill got together in 2010, she was introduced to home brewing. A rickety, gravity fed, sawhorse and plywood, non-OSHA approved, waiting for a catastrophe, setup that Bill was proud to share with her and teach her the ropes on. Three years later, he talked her into a professional 1BBL system. Little did she know that in 5 short years later, she would help open a brewery with him! Bill - “Honey, you are a project manager and super risk averse, how were you able to take this chance with me?” Raquel - “Eyes wide shut baby!” She continues to take the chance and support doing whatever she can., frequently getting covered in beer…. It’s a wild ride but they are in it together!
